We met when she was a teenager. Jordi came up to me and introduced herself “Hi. I’m Jordi and I’m a Grosser” I was confused. I was a new teacher at school and was unsure as to why a student would introduce herself this way. Jordi then went on to explain how our families were connected. It’s quite a story (too long for this blog!) During this first year, I became pregnant for the first time and therefore missed the majority of Jordi’s high school days. We caught up at various school events and after she graduated I saw her here and there. But this first year and the connection of our families would prove pretty strong over the years.
It was exciting to see that initial wedding inquiry email come through with her name on it! I really love documenting people’s stories and when I have known them for a while (10 years now!) getting to privilege to capture something so special as a wedding is the cherry on top! Congratulations to you both Mr. and Mrs. Neves. Thank you for asking me to be part of your wedding in such a special way. You would never know it rained the whole morning from these photos!
