Every now and then you get asked to photograph an engagement shoot and it’s not just an engagement shoot. It’s a friend who you went through university with for 4 years to get a double degree in Drama/Performance and Education. Now, I don’t know what it’s like for all those who do science degrees but a performing arts degree means you are consistently working in groups, rehearsing, creating and performing in front of each other. After 4 years, you get pretty close the 20 students who managed to stick it out till the end.
Emma and I have often joked about being cousins. We used to share a last name, both worked at Target and have ginger hair (one of us more than the other.) It was a pleasure getting to know Emma over those 4 years and it’s so lovely to have her as a colleague in the teaching world.
So you can imagine how excited I was to hear that she not only was getting married but that she asked me to photograph her engagement shoot! Emma and Dale, thank you for trusting me with these photos and I’m excited to see what the future holds for you as you head towards being husband and wife!
