Nicole holds a special place in my heart as the midwife who helped me through my labour with my first child. It wasn’t textbook by any means but she was calm and reassuring throughout. She even came to check up on me the few days following, even though she wasn’t rostered on to the maternity ward. I had got to know Nicole at 2 separate weddings (prior to me getting pregnant) where she was a bridesmaid and its was such a welcome surprise to find out that she was the rostered midwife on the suite I was labouring in. What a blessing and answer to prayer! When I asked her if she had some free time (2 weeks before her due date!) she welcomed the opportunity to catch up and be my model as I practised some maternity ‘hat shots!’ Thanks so much for your time and lovely conversation Nicole and I pray that your little one decides to come sooner rather than later.
