Piquing your Pinterest #3

Have I converted anyone to Pinterest yet? Todays Piquing your Pinterest pin is all about getting creative on a budget.  Having a kid as well as a mortgage (along with all bills that come with life) I know that expensive date nights are few and far between. So here is a list of 30 dates for under $30. Number 3 is my favourite. Sure, it’s to do with taking photos but with a disposable camera, you can’t check if it was a good shot, so you have to plan out your shots carefully.

Have you done any of these? Or got a great idea to add to the list? Hit me up! I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy! xx

Piquing your Pinterest

Pinterest is something I am happy to say I am addicted to. I use it as a search engine for ideas, to inspire me and to help waste time while I am waiting for things to happen (like dinner to cook in my Thermomix!) Heck, simply by browsing through the glossy images I feel more creative. For all its good points, there are bad points but lets look at those another day.

Welcome to a new series I’m calling Piquing your Pinterest! Now I know what your thinking. Piquing??What the? Initially I had written Peaking your Pinterest but it didn’t seem right. After a bit of research (typing it into Google) I found this. Don’t know your peek from your peak from your pique?

If you peer at something, you are peeking.
You have to reach to gain the peak.
And if you’re piqued about something, there’s usually a question in your mind about it.

Each week ill post an image/article from Pinterest that has got me all excited. It might be anything from a sewing tutorial, inspirational wedding photography or a  life hack you just can’t live without. If you are really lucky and I am super organise, I’ll even try it myself and post both photos.

This week starts with a funny little illustration from a quirky artist Gemma Correll (whom I stumbled across on Pinterest). I love seeing her world through her illustrations.

Spot the difference

Did something change around here? You betcha!

This was one of those projects that started off small (in my mind) and then the more I got stuck into it the more I realised how much work needed to be done. Add to that a part time job and a 1 year old and BAM! It’s taken twice as long as you first imagined. The journey has been enlightening, tedious at times, made me reflective about my work and made me realise how important planning and sticking to the plan is. I hope you like the site. PLEASE leave me a message and let me know. Have fun clicking on all the buttons and links and see where they take you. Let me know if you have any suggestions or if something isn’t working. I love hearing from you!

For now…enjoy this sneak peak of my latest engagement shoot!
